Information about Blended Bachelor of Science/Master of Science
This is a fast track pathway to graduate with possible two degrees in five (5) years:
- The “Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Option in Accounting” at California State University Los Angeles, in four (4) years, and
- The “Master of Science in Accounting” in another one (1) year.
In addition to enhancing students’ knowledge in the accounting discipline and preparing them for careers in accounting, the program will help students complete additional academic coursework, which meets the minimum required 150 hours to sit for the CPA Exam.
Program Features
- With options in [A] Accounting Information Systems, [B] Financial and Public Accounting, and [C] Taxation, a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) degree from Cal State LA’s College of Business and Economics will help students accelerate their career-preparedness in accounting.
- The program’s customizable concentrations and flexible scheduling allow students to prepare for their career path in a challenging and continually changing profession.
- Graduates are prepared for
- the CPA Exam; and
- Professional certifications including those in fraud examination and internal auditing
- High demand career opportunities
- Participation in industry focused events
- Participation in an award winning student organization and guest speaker events
Eligibility to Apply for the Blended BSBA/MSA
- Senior standing (satisfactory completion of a minimum of 90 units) by the time the blended program begins.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in all coursework in the major completed at the time of application.
- Successful completion of the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR), BUS 3050 .
