Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Fundamentals of Radar Systems

This is a joint program of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at California State University, Los Angeles and Raytheon Corporation.

The College of Engineering, Computer Science and Technology (ECST) aims to partner with industry to provide college based credit for a select number of mutually developed and approved courses offered through the College of Professional and Global Education. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, in collaboration with industry partners, has developed the post-baccalaureate certificate in Fundamentals of Radar Systems. The program leverages the expertise of partners in the defense electronics and radar systems industry along with Cal State LA’s well-regarded graduate MSEE program in the communication systems specialization, to offer a unique opportunity to students interested in developing an in-depth knowledge of the basic principles of radar systems.

Admission


Students must be senior undergraduate or have obtained a BS degree in Electrical Engineering  or one of the related Engineering and technology fields (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, other Engineering and science disciplines) from a regionally accredited institution. Students must have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 in their baccalaureate degree coursework.

Requirements for the Certificate (12 units)


Students interested in the program must successfully complete the following four courses with a minimum 3.0 GPA to satisfy the degree requirements:
