Overview
The objective of the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science is to prepare qualified students for careers involving the design of computer systems and their applications to science and industry. The program provides an excellent foundation in all core areas of computer science with the opportunity to choose electives in a variety of specialized fields.
Requirements for the Major
- The total number of units required for the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science is 120 units, of which 93 units are in the major.
- Computer Science students are required to take 48 units of General Education (GE) of which 21 units are met by courses in the major. Consult with an advisor in the department for the specific number of units required in all areas of the degree, including GE and free electives.
