Option Requirements for Healthcare Administration (27 units)

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with Option in Healthcare Administration  prepares students for understanding organizational tools and processes required to perform general management tasks in healthcare contexts.  It may also be an excellent preparation for continued business studies such as in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Healthcare Management (MS HCM) degree program.

This option builds on BSBA core administrative knowledge and managerial skills to give business management students a competitive edge for operating in the complex and changing healthcare environments.  Healthcare administrators are management or clinical professionals who perform in supervisory and leadership roles in the healthcare organizational settings.  As cost pressures and quality-assurance imperatives become increasingly important for viability of healthcare services, administrators with appropriate business knowledge and skills continue to be in demand.
