A minor in French is available for students majoring in other fields. It may be of particular value to students majoring in English, Spanish, or other languages and literatures; History; Political Science; African American Studies; Sociology; or International Business. FREN 1001 and 1002 or an equivalent level of proficiency are prerequisite to this program; proficiency may be demonstrated by high school preparation or by a departmental examination.
