The Master of Science degree in Industrial Management prepares students with backgrounds in engineering, business, manufacturing or related industries to gain management skills that help them in areas involving planning, problem solving, and decision-making. Students are able to tailor their program to fit their specific needs.
Admission to the Program
In addition to University requirements for admission to graduate study, applicants must have a baccalaureate of science or in a related field with combined course work and work experience acceptable to the Program.
Program Requirements
- A total of 30 units is required, with at least 18 in 5000-level courses.
- Students are required to complete 9 units of directed electives, or 2 units if the student plans to take TECH 5960 to satisfy the culminating experience requirement.
- Students may select other 5000 or 4000 levels STEM courses to satisfy the elective requirement upon approval from the program Advisor.

Requirements for the Degree (30 units)
Elective Courses (9 or 12 units)
Students who will take TECH 5960 complete 12 units from the following list. Otherwise, complete 9 units. Other 5000 or 4000 levels STEM courses may be selected upon approval from the MSIM program Advisor. Culminating Experience (0 or 3 units)
