The program leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Television, Film, and Media Studies emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical application of the mass media of communication in contemporary society. It is the primary objective of our curriculum to develop a knowledgeable and artistically skilled graduate who will be able to pursue an advanced degree and/or a professional career in journalism, television, cinema, and media. The program emphasizes the importance of the media in constructing awareness of the multi-cultural composition of society, as well as the media’s impact on all aspects of human interaction.
The total number of units required for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Television, Film, and Media Studies is 120 units, of which 52 units are in the major.
