The Geology B.S. degree program is designed to provide in-depth study of Earth materials, structures, and processes for professional work in fields such as engineering geology, hydrogeology, economic geology, or graduate study. The total number of units for the Bachelor of Science degree in Geology is 120 units, of which, 57 units are core courses.
The program offers two options.
I. The Geology Option: In addition to the core courses of the program, this option requires a total of 26 units, of which, 17 are required and 9 are elective.
II. The Environmental Geosciences Option: In addition to the core courses of the program, this option requires 21 or 23 units, of which, 18 or 20 are required and 3 are elective.
