Minor in Sustainability Marketing

Purpose 

The Minor in Sustainability Marketing will provide the opportunity for undergraduate students to:

  1. broaden their understanding of mounting environmental and social issues that impact our local and global communities;
  2. transform the design, marketing, and consumption of products and services within an interdisciplinary framework of environmental and social sustainability;
  3. enhance their employment portfolio to appeal to the increasing number of public and private employers seeking college graduate with a deeper understanding of the human impact of environmental issues.

Eligibility

Students pursuing the Minor in Sustainability Marketing must be curently enrolled in any undergraduate degree program other the B.S.B.A. in Marketing Option.

Minor Completion Requirements 

A total of 15 units will be required for the completion of this minor. Upon completion of course requirements and respective Cal State LA degree requirements, students will be awarded the Minor in Sustainability Marketing in addition to their primary degree.

Program Learning Outcomes

The Minor in Sustainability Marketing will provide the opportunity for students enrolled in B.S.B.A. options other than the marketing option or other degree programs to:

  • broaden their understanding of mounting environmental and social issues that impact our local and global communities;
  • transform the design, marketing, and consumption of products and services within an interdisciplinary framework of environmental and social  sustainability;
  • enhance their employment portfolio to appeal to the increasing number of public and private employers seeking college graduates with a deeper understanding of the human impact of environmental issues.
