Designed for general educators who already hold multiple or single subject credentials, the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Teaching Learners with Special Needs in General Education Classrooms provides professional preparation in assessment, positive behavior interventions, curricular and instructional adaptations, and collaboration, enabling general educators to more effectively meet the needs of exceptional students in their classrooms.

Eligibility
Students must either be in a graduate degree program at California State University, Los Angeles or must apply for graduate admission to the University. Once admitted to Cal State LA, prospective students wishing to enroll in the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Teaching Learners with Special Needs in General Education Classrooms must apply to the certificate program coordinator for admission into the program.
- Students must hold a preliminary or clear multiple or single subject credential.
- Students must complete EDSP 4000 or its equivalent.
- This certificate requires a minimum of 12 units of coursework with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Required Courses (9 units)
Electives (3 units)
Students must choose at least one elective course, including but not limited to the following courses. The elective course must be selected with and approved by the certificate program coordinator. Some electives may require additional courses as prerequisites.
