The certificate program in Food Safety offered by the Department of Nutrition and Food Science is designed to educate Nutritional Science students, Food Science and Technology students, foodservice employees, nutritionists, and others about important food safety principles in order to meet the increasing need for professionals trained in food safety methods.
The program requires 19 units to complete. Students will qualify for the award of the Certificate in Food Safety upon the successful completion of the required courses with a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
