Youth Agency Administration at Cal State L.A. provides a unique opportunity for students interested in nonprofit administration careers to receive a specific, practical, educational emphasis. This undergraduate credit certificate program, which prepares individuals for careers in nonprofit management, requires a minimum of 24 units, selected in consultation with the Youth Agency Administration director. The program includes course work in four major areas and an internship designed specifically for the program.
Students should plan their program with careful attention given to prerequisites for upper division courses. Refer to the Undergraduate Study: General Information chapter of this catalog for general regulations governing all certificate programs.
Non-matriculated students enrolled through the College of Extended Studies and International Programs are required to complete at least one designated diversity course in order to receive the certificate.
