Program Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate the direct and indirect roles and functions of school nursing practice in implementing interventions to promote and optimize health and prevent illness of students, families, school, and community.
2. Access and Coordinate community services to assure the health and safety needs and classroom modifications necessary to resolve or reduce barriers to learning to support student achievement. 
3. Implement collaborative approaches to care that enhance practice and support health and learning outcomes for students.
4. Appraise local, state, and federal laws and policies, for health impact, to inform the decision-making processes in the educational setting. 
5. Integrate evidence-based practice, theory, and research, to identify clinical problems and solutions, and improve decision-making, and health outcomes.
6. Use leadership, management, supervision, and education competencies to create an environment that fosters safety, health, and learning for the students.
7. Demonstrate the efficient use of human, community, and technological resources in designing, organizing, and implementing an effective school health program.
