Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
IMPACT inclusive communities and cohorts, using funds of knowledge, educational technologies, and effective communications to dismantle oppression.
ENGAGE in personal reflection, critical examination of bias and privilege, scholarly inquiry and healing to provide fair, respectful and humanizing leadership practice and communication.
LEAD through critical (anti-racist, decolonial) lenses that affirms cultural, gender, linguistic and economic diversity, and creates capacity within the institution and distributes resources equitably.

All proposed changes to this program are aligned with Cal State LA’s institutional commitments to responding to the needs of local communities (ILO #3: Place and Community) while providing students the opportunity to develop their own knowledge and capacities (ILO #2: Proficiency). The Ed.D. is committed to developing educational leaders as scholar-practitioners prepared to use the skills of research and inquiry (ILO #1: Knowledge) to engage in transformative work in their sites of practice (ILO #4: Transformation).
