After completing the Journalism Minor students will be able to:

1. Write, edit, and report competently on multiple platforms.
2. Critically analyze and adopt the best practices in journalism.
3. Employ the legal acumen and social responsibility required to practice journalism with the highest ethics.
4. Understand the role and responsibilities of the press in American democracy.
5. Serve the public good without exception or bias to gender, gender-identity, race, religion, ethnicity or socio-economic standing.
