Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

1. Students will explore knowledge, methods, and creative expression from disciplines in the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and arts.

2. Students will examine the intersections between race, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexuality, ability, class, and nation that shape the diverse communities of Southern California.

3. Students will design interdisciplinary research projects and conduct ethical research that draws from reliable and accurate information in appropriate disciplines.

4. Students will demonstrate the ability to use interdisciplinary methods and approaches from the humanities and qualitative social sciences to explain, describe, and analyze cultural sites, social situations, and texts from multiple media.

5. Students will develop reflective portfolios with essays, professional materials, and examples of multi-modal communication appropriate for their career goals.
