1. Demonstrate mastery of major theories, concepts, approaches to inquiry and/or practices relevant to the field of study.
The EE graduate students shall demonstrate capability of design and research by utilizing major theories, concepts, exercise of literature study, and inquiring technical information from reliable sources in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
2. Demonstrate information literacy appropriate to the field of study.
The EE graduate students shall demonstrate information and technology literacy and acquire knowledge to solve contemporary Electrical and Computer Engineering problems.
3. Identify and evaluate or apply diverse perspectives, assumptions, and conventions within the field of study.
The EE graduate students shall have ability to work in collaboration with others with diverse perspectives, assumptions, and conventions.
4. Critically examine the power and limitations of quantitative and/or qualitative evidence in the evaluation, construction, and communication of arguments in the field of study.
The EE graduate students shall demonstrate critical-thinking capability based on knowledge of theories to examine processes, experimental or simulation data in the evaluation of designs and communication of arguments in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
5. Demonstrate communicative fluency appropriate to the field of study. Communicative fluency can include multiple expressive modes.
The EE graduate students shall demonstrate familiarity and communicative fluency in presenting technical materials, concepts, and design specifications in the areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
6. Articulate how advancing knowledge or practice in their field of study contributes to the public good.
The EE graduate students shall have ability to articulate knowledge and skills of cutting-edge EE technologies to constructively impact general public and contribute to the public good.
7. Frame and examine a controversy or problem through research, projects, papers, exhibits, or performances in the field of study.
The EE graduate students shall have ability to perform in-depth analysis, and examine trade-offs in conducting research or projects in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
8. Situate the field of study and its relevance within a broader context, including - but not limited to - social, intellectual, and/or applied professional contexts.
The EE graduate students shall have ability to make informed judgments in their design and research work, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, intellectual, environmental, and societal contexts
9. Apply appropriate ethical standards or practices within the field of study.
The EE graduate students shall have ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and apply appropriate ethical standards or practices in designing and producing a component or a system.
