C1. How will the changes fit with the Institutional Mission / Institutional Learning Outcomes (ILO)

This program modification involves the addition of elective courses to the MSCS curriculum. Considering the evolving demands of the industry, this modification will align more effectively with the first two of the university’s stated ILOs: 1. Knowledge: Attainment of expertise in content and the methodologies of inquiry. 2. Proficiency: Development of intellectual aptitudes.

C2. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

1. Students will have the ability to write and analyze sophisticated algorithms.
2. Students will have the ability to design, develop, and analyze complex software systems.
3. Students will have acquired advanced knowledge and skills in one or more areas of computer science. 
4. Students will be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
