A minor in music is available for students majoring in other fields. A minimum of 30 units is required. Students must be enrolled in or have completed MUS 1011  , MUS 1012 , and MUS 1021 , MUS 1022  in order to enroll in applied lessons or ensembles.

Requirements for the Minor (30-32 units)

Core Courses (18-22 units)

Piano Proficiency Requirement (0 unit)

All students are required to pass a piano proficiency examination, MUS 2033 , or complete MUS 2032  (Class Piano Instruction), before being approved for graduation.
