Business Intelligence is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic industries. Career opportunities continue to expand in business intelligence, analytics, and business analysis. The proposed Business Intelligence Certificate program will provide a comprehensive and up-to-date review of business intelligence and analytics concepts and best practices. Students will acquire knowledge and develop the skills in the areas relevant to the roles and responsibilities of today’s practicing Business Intelligence professionals: in business intelligence, analytics and management systems. Students will be able to apply their newly learned skills through hands-on projects and exercises. Career opportunities continue to expand in: business intelligence, analytics and business analyst.
The program prepares students to assume roles as Business Intelligence Analyst, Business Intelligence consultants, Business Intelligence Developer, Business Analyst,s and Business Intelligence managers.

Requirements for the Program
A total of 18 units are required. The program requires 12 semester units as part of core requirements and the remainder of the 6 units are from elective courses. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will be awarded a Minor in Business Intelligence, authorized by the Department of Information Systems in College of Business & Economics.
Admission Requirments
A Minor in Business Intelligence is available to students majoring in other fields. It may be of particular interest to students majoring in various fields in the College of Business and to Computer Science students.
For admission, completion of CIS/CS 1200 Information and Technology Literacy or equivalency, or proof of knowledge in Information and technology literacy is required.
