The Minor in Computer Science is designed to provide basic proficiency in computer science for students majoring in other fields.
The Minor consists of 24 units of which 9 are upper division with a focus on programming methodology and skills.
A minimum of 12 units must be distinct from the student’s core requirement in the student’s major.
To declare a CS minor, a student must have completed a Precalculus course or higher with a grade of C or better and receive approval from an Advisor in the CS Department.
Successful completion requires a 2.0 overall grade point average in the CS minor, good academic standing, and completion of all minor courses by the time students earn their baccalaureate.
