A total of 120 units is required for the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
The Real Estate option requires completion of 66 units in the major. Consult with an adviser for the specific number of units required in all areas of the degree including GE and free electives. Students may require two additional courses to meet the 120 units required for graduation. These courses should be taken outside of the major and be selected to meet improve writing, communication, and presentation or technical skills for the job market (unless one is pursuing a minor in another field). Recommended courses are: ENGL 3030 (Professional and Technical Writing), TA 1410 and TA 1420 (Acting I and II), Courses involving Argumentative Writing and Applied Writing, and Courses Developing Negotiation, Interpersonal, and Presentation Skills, and FIN 4030 (Intermediate Business Finance).
This option prepares students for careers in real estate, and for real estate licensing examinations. It also prepares students for further study of real estate at the postgraduate level. Students should take their real estate courses as early as possible to facilitate their job.
