This is a fast track pathway to graduate with possible two degrees in five (5) years. The “Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Option in Accounting” at California State University Los Angeles, in four (4) years and the “Master of Science in Accounting” in another one (1) year. In addition to enhancing students’ knowledge in the accounting discipline and preparing them for careers in accounting, the program will help students complete additional academic coursework, which meets the minimum required 150 hours to sit for the CPA Exam.

• With options in [A] Accounting Information Systems, [B] Financial and Public Accounting, and [C] Taxation, a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) degree from Cal State LA’s College of Business and Economics will help students accelerate their career-preparedness in accounting.

Eligibility to Apply for the Blended BSBA/MSA

• Senior standing (satisfactory completion of a minimum of 90 units) by the time the blended program begins.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in all coursework in the major completed at the time of application.
• Successful completion of the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR), BUS 3050 .

Admission Requirements for the Blended BSBA/MSA Program

• Applicants must complete 12 units of foundation business courses: CIS 3010 , ECON 2010, FIN 2050,  and BUS 3050. Students must earn a minimum of a C grade in their Accounting Foundation courses.
• In addition, applicants must complete 15 units of Foundation Accounting Courses: ACCT 2100  and ACCT 2110, or equivalent courses, ACCT 3200A, ACCT 3200B, ACCT 3210, and ACCT 3220.
