The B.A. in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary course of study that emphasizes writing, critical thinking, and presentation of research as core competencies. The B.A. degree also offers opportunities for community engagement and internships.

Degree Requirements
The total number of units required for the degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is 120 units: 45 units of General Education Requirements, 24 units of WGSS core requirements, 12 units in an Area of Emphasis, 9 units of WGSS Electives, and free electives.
Requirements for the Major (45 units)
Students must complete 24 units of WGSS core requirements, 12 units in an area of emphasis (Feminist Studies, LGBTQ Studies, or Gender Studies), and 9 units of electives approved for the Major.
