The Minor in Health Communication is designed for students interested in expanding their knowledge of the communication process in health contexts, especially as it relates to their professional careers or related fields in the liberal arts. The Communication curriculum provides a variety of courses for students preparing for careers in population health, health education and wellness programs, health care communication skill management, health promotion in media companies, managed care environments, government and non-profit organizations focused on health policy, and others in which an understanding of the process and practice of health communication is vital.
