Information on Eligibility/Admission
Students must either be in a graduate degree program at California State University, Los Angeles or must apply for graduate admission to the University. Once admitted to Cal State LA, prospective students wishing to enroll in the Certificate in Educational Therapy program must apply to the certificate program coordinator for admission into the program.
- Students must hold or be enrolled in the preliminary Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities or related special education credential.
- Students must have completed EDSP 4000 or its equivalent.
- Prerequisite courses required for the core courses in the Certificate in Educational Therapy program must be completed prior to enrolling in the certificate courses.
- Students must have a minimum of two years of experience in the field of education.
- This certificate requires 12 units of coursework with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
