A minor in Japanese is available for students majoring in other fields or those with an interest in East Asia in general. It may be of particular interest to students studying history, international relations, sociology, other languages and literatures, business, or technology, as well as to those seeking employment with the government or international agencies.
Prerequisite: Elementary Japanese (JAPN 1001 and 1002) or an equivalent level of proficiency. The minor requires completion of 18 - 20 units in Japanese as listed below.
