The certificate program in social media is designed to prepare business students, students in other academic disciplines, and working professionals from the extended community with the knowledge to develop social media marketing strategies and to engage customers through the application of social media.
A total of 16 units will be required for completion of this certificate program. MKT 304 (Principles of Marketing) or consent of the instructor is a prerequisite for this program. Upon completion of course requirements, students will be awarded the Certificate in Social Media, authorized by the Department of Marketing and, when appropriate, the College of Extended Studies and International Programs.
This certificate is open to all students (matriculated and non-matriculated). Non-matriculated students should enroll through Open University.
