Overview

Lifetime wellness or health is dependent upon a variety of factors, many of which are related to environment and lifestyle. The primary mission of the Department of Public Health is to educate individuals to become entry-level health professionals at the baccalaureate  level. In such roles, graduates can promote positive activities both personal and environmental that impact the health of individuals and communities.

The Department of Public Health offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health and a minor in Public Health. Students in these programs are prepared to provide direct services, advocacy, management, and counseling in health education, public health, environmental health, and community organizations.
