Course Description: The roles of women as composers, performers, conductors, theorists, and musicologists, and businesspeople in the music industry. Focus on issues of 20th and 21st century women working and creating in a broad range of musical styles, genres, and practices, particularly in the cross-contexts of feminism, race, and ethnicity.
