Course Description: This course is the second in the required core Environmental Engineering series. Discussion on natural environmental systems will continue, with special emphasis on the role and sustainability of engineered systems (i.e. water/wastewater treatment plants, landfills, remediation technologies, etc.). Greater focus on the fundamentals of the fate and transport of contaminants and nutrients in air, surface waters, groundwater, and soils. Credit Hours: 1 lecture hour(s) 3 laboratory hour(s) per week
