(5) Prerequisites: High school chemistry and physics; two years of high school algebra; satisfactory performance on chemistry diagnostic examination given during registration period. Physical concepts, stoichiometry, structure of atom, periodic table, chemical bonding. Lecture 3 hours, recitation 1 hour, laboratory 3 hours.
