Description This course focuses on equipping students with the basic computing skills students will need throughout their engineering disciplines. The emphasis is on translating open-ended problems into algorithm development and implementation to solve basic numerical problems. Topics include introduction to basic engineering problems and their conceptualization through mathematical models, and introduction to algorithm development and implementation into a computer program. Laboratory 3 hours.
