Description Limits, continuity, derivatives, extrema, long-term behavior of systems, approximation, L’Hopital’s rule, stability of equilibria, with a focus on applications in biology.Ê Intended for life science majors.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 1085 or MATH 1083 or MATH 1040 with a grade of C or better, or satisfactory score on placement examination within the past year. Students with a grade of less than B- in one of ESM 1082 , MATH 1040 , MATH 1081 , MATH 1082 , MATH 1083 , or MATH 1085 must enroll concurrently in MATH 2041 . Basic facility with Excel is expected.
