(3) Prerequisite: MATH 2110. Preliminary introduction to the basic mathematical notation, vocabulary, and reasoning used in advanced mathematics courses. Logic; elementary set theory; proof techniques; recursion; induction; equivalence relations; counting techniques; graphs and trees.
