Geology, B.S.


The Bachelor of Science degree program is designed to provide in-depth study of Earth materials, structures, and processes for professional work in fields such as engineering geology, hydrogeology, and petroleum geology, or graduate study.

The Geology option requires 35 units of foundational courses. Additionally, this option requires a total of 64 units, which consist of 20 units of lower division, 32 units of upper division, and 12 units of electives. The Geosciences Option requires 26-28 units of foundational courses. Additionally, this option requires a total of 72 units, which consist of lower division, 32 units of upper division, and 16 units of electives.
