Business Administration, B.S.: Option in Operations and Supply Chain Management


Core Requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (45 units)

Notes:


Note 1: BUS 4970 is the capstone course and requires completion of all other core courses, both lower and upper division. It is strongly
             recommended that the course be taken toward the end of the program.

Note 2: It is strongly recommended that when taking the upper division core courses, students follow the sequence: CIS 3010,
              BUS 3050, FIN 3030, ECON 3060, MKT 3100, MGMT3060, MGMT 3070, MGMT 3080, BUS 4150, and BUS 4970.

Note 3: ECON 3060 is double-counted in upper division GE Block B: Natural Science and Mathematics

Note 4: MGMT 3080 is double-counted in GE Block C: Upper Division Requirement: Arts and Humanities.

Note 5: BUS 3050 is designated as a Writing Intensive (WI) course.

Option Requirements for Operations and Supply Chain Management (27 units)


OSCM refers to what an organization does to create value. This might involve delivering a service or manufacturing a product.  OSCM addresses the management of this value-creation process. Strategic issues include process and technology selection, facility and service design, supply chain, capacity, quality, inventory, and work force management.  Graduates pursue careers in a wide range of industries that include hospitality, health care, government, information services, banking and manufacturing.
