Description Fundamental theory and applications of chemical principles.  Atomic structure, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, reaction stoichiometry, thermochemistry, equilibrium, electrochemistry, classes and nomenclature of chemical compounds.  Lecture 3 hours.  Laboratory 3 hours.
