ASTR 4900 - Community Astrophysics Project

Prerequisites: (PHYS 3300 or PHYS 3400), (ASTR 3600 or ASTR 3601), one of the following ASTR 4000, ASTR 4110, PHYS 4251; PHYS 3200 recommended. Students use astrophysics knowledge to design a new public exhibit for Griffith Observatory or other science facility and develop Civic Learning/Community Engagement (CL) skills at the upper division level. Astrophysics review and scientific programming culminating in a technical project proposal. Lecture 3 hours.
