MUS 2011 - Theory and Musicianship III

Prerequisite: MUS 1012; co-requisites: MUS 2021, MUS 2031. Extended harmonies, modulations to foreign keys, non-functional tertian harmony. Emphasis on structural and harmonic analysis; aural analysis and dictation of aforementioned topics, sight singing melodies with increasing complexity. English writing component (analysis) included. Lecture: meets 2 hours per week, Activity: meets 2 hours per week. May be repeated to a maximum of 6 units.
