PSY 3300 - Psychology of Prejudice and Discrimination (3) Prerequisites: Completion of GE Block A, Block B4, one additional course from Block B, and one course each from Blocks C and D. Theories and research on causes and effects of prejudice and discrimination, focusing on racism, classism, sexism, heterosexism, and their intersections. Examination of personal experiences with prejudice/discrimination, and approaches to reducing prejudice and promoting intergroup communication and equality. Includes civic learning/community engagement component.
